About

Bryen Alperin

Investor. Author of Buying Power. Denver, Colorado.

Bryen Alperin invests corporate and institutional capital in American energy and infrastructure.

Over a decade he built an infrastructure investment platform from a one-person initiative into a full team, investing billions of dollars of tax equity and tax credit capital on behalf of Fortune 500 and institutional investors in hundreds of solar, storage, fuel cell, hydrogen and advanced manufacturing projects.

He came up through commercial banking and has worked through every major change in the market since 2017, including transferability, the hybrid transfer flip he helped design, the technology-neutral credits and the foreign-entity rules. A good part of his job is separating the deal terms that come from the law from the ones that come from habit.

He serves on the Board of Directors of Goodwill of Colorado. His first book, Buying Power, is forthcoming from Forbes Books. He lives in Denver with his wife and daughter.
